Nidan Chris has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, an Architectural Design and Drafting certificate from BCIT and is currently working at GBL Architects Group in Vancouver. He lives in Surrey with his wife Carley, who is also a member of Wado Karate Canada.

He began his karate training in 2000 under the direction of Saiko Shihan Greg Reid.

"When I first started training I was interested in the physical and self-defense aspects that is provided by martial arts. Training under Sensei Greg Reid and being a member of the CASK organization has given me insight into the real  potential that lies in martial arts. I hope to achieve a high level of understanding and be able to teach others as I was taught by Sensei Greg Reid."

Nidan Chris has asperations of getting a Masters degree in architecture and continuing with a career as an architect.
